Shaft stops: Switches which contain stops shall withstand the following torques applied against the
stops in both the clockwise and counterclockwise directions:
Switches with shaft and bushing seals: 25 lb-in.
Switches without shaft and bushing seals: 50 lb-in.
Contact resistance: Contact resistance shall not exceed the following values:
Initial and after vibration and shock: 5 milliohms
After moisture-resistance and slat spray: 5 milliohms
After initial soak and completion of life test: 10 milliohms
Low level circuit is applicable.
Vibration grade: Symbol 3 (10-2000 Hz).
Shock type: Symbol M (medium impact) and H (high impact).
Dielectric withstanding voltage: Applicable, using 1,500 volts throughout, except voltage shall be
reduced to 1,000 volts after life and low level switching tests.
Mounting hardware: Each switch shall supplied with one each hexagon nut in accordance with
MS25082-820 or equivalent, and one internal-tooth lockwasher in accordance with NASM35333-76 or
equivalent.
Life rotational: See table III.
Special features: Symbol A (both high and low level contact load rating and both shaft grounding and
EMI/FR (capability).
