REQUIREMENTS:
Dimensions and configuration: See figures 1, 2, and 3.
Material: High temperature heat resistant, thermoplastic. When thermal shock test is performed in
accordance with MIL-PRF-22885, the maximum temperature shall be 71 C (+55 C with lamps
energized).
Intended use: As font lens plate to be used in conjunction with a translucent white diffuser on
switch/indicators specified in table I.
Lens transmittance: Lens plate shall be transparent. When assembled to the switch or indicator, a
translucent white background is provided by the diffuser. When illuminated, the background shall
appear in a color determined by the color of the lamp filters (MIL-PRF-22885/12). The lens style, as
shown in table I of MIL-PRF-22885/10, is provided by the diffuser.
Qualification: Required as part of the 4-lamp illuminated pushbutton switch, MIL-PRF-22885/9 or MIL-
PRF-22885/87.
